Here’s one you don’t see every day. Tom Spanu makes Castelsardo on the island of Sardinia, with Sardinian briar by hand. When I say by hand, I mean, there’s not so much as a power drill in his shop. If you’ve ever worked briar you know how crazy that is. This one…it may be unsmoked. I can’t tell if the inside of the bowl is just a worn with time bowl coat or not, but there’s zero odor of tobacco to be found here. Stem is 10/10. Come and take it.
